House rules

BEARS, Oh My! Please beware of the bears. You are in bear country and it is very common for them to roam around the cabin. Please do not leave any food, drinks, wrappers or trash outside the cabin or in your vehicles as this will attract bears. The bears can open unlocked car doors so keep your vehicles locked at all times. Please do not feed the bears or attempt to attract them to the property. If you do see a bear on the property, DO NOT approach it and stay safely in the house with the doors closed where you can safely view them. They will eventually leave. DRIVEWAY The driveway is narrow and while you can use the roundabout to turn your vehicle around, you may have to do a 2 or 3 point turn with larger vehicles to get turned around. There is a wood guard rail to guide you, but you must be careful not to bump or drive past that guard rail as it is a steep drop off the driveway. Some find it easier to enter the roundabout to the left rather than the right so that you're turning into the hill instead of the drop-off. STAIRS There are lots of stairs in and outside this property including a narrow spiral staircase. If you have small children, they must be monitored around these stairs so they do not fall. NO smoking or vaping in the chalet whatsoever. Ashtrays are provided on the outdoor tables. NO pets of any kind. NO excessive guests. NO event parties. NO tampering with security cameras. DO NOT flush anything besides toilet paper down the toilets. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. DAMAGE to property and/or MISSING items will be first deducted from security deposit and if value exceeds that of deposit, claims will be elevated with booking company to be held against form of payment. •Smoking in home: $250 •Lost Owner's Club card: $100 •Late checkout past 10am without our consent: $75 •Damaged hot tub cover: $500 •Stolen towels/bathmats/washcloths: $10 per item. •Damaged/Stolen items or property: Cost to repair/replace MOST IMPORTANT—Relax and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains!

Accessibility

Neighborhood

This home is in the prestigious Chalet Village neighborhood 1/2 mile from Ober Gatlinburg ski resort. It is walking distance to the Chalet Village Owner's Club where you'll have access to the fitness center. Between Memorial Day and Labor day you'll have access to the large swimming pool with slide, two tennis courts, game room and more.

Guest Access

The driveway is a long round about that can easily accommodate several cars. The end of the roundabout is fairly tight so in a larger vehicle, a 2 or 3 point turn may need to be executed in order to get around the loop. Take care not to get to close to the edge of the driveway with the guide rail as it's a steep drop off. Some find it easier to approach the round about on the left side rather than the traditional right so that when you're turning you're doing against the hill instead of against the drop off.

The house and location was great for what we were looking for. Up the mountain away from town. Getting into Gatlinburg was easy and not far. If you wanted to go into pigeon forge, though it’s not far the traffic just makes it take a long time. We only used the pool closest to the house which was perfect. Definitely a walkable distance. The decks and hot tubs were great! Beautiful location to stay! Met all of our expectations! Lisa was very responsive whenever I did reach out. Would highly recommend! Also Bears, bears, and more bears.

Lisa was a wonderful host! Everything in the cabin was exactly as described. We had two families and we really enjoyed being able to walk to the pool and also have access to the clubhouse, tennis courts, basketball, and shuffleboard. We were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This was the perfect location for a family to stay. We also saw a lot of bears while we were at this cabin, which was very exciting! We would definitely stay here again. We got out without the kids one night and found an amazing restaurant called The Greenbrier. Tucked away from the hustle of downtown. If you’re looking for a nice dinner out it’s a must! Thanks Lisa!

This place was amazing. Ober mountain was the goal for this trip and the location was prefect for that. The cabin was only one turn away from the shuttle that takes you up to the resort. We decided to walk to the shuttle and we felt very safe doing so. Not to mention, we saved on the parking fee for the Ober mountain resort by walking to the shuttle. Lisa was very proactive in answering any questions I may have had. In which I had none. It was an amazing place. For 11 grown adults ,ages ranging from 24-30, there was plenty of space. Or maybe we just all get along with each other lol 😂. Needless to say Lisa was incredible and gave clear instructions for checking in and out. You have to love that as an Airbnb renter. Until next time.

This place was the perfect area for our big family Christmas vacation. It was spacious, great amenities, and added bonus that it was close to the club house to workout! If you go during a season while leaves are falling, it can be a tricky to find the driveway. However with great descriptions on finding the driveway and how to park, it worked out! The house is great location and not too far from downtown Galtinburg! It was pretty awesome to see a bear, so thankful for all the advice to avoid a situation that could be worse! The area is just simply beautiful. Lisa was very responsive for any questions that I had. We would definitely would love to come back again to visit areas that we were not able to do so due to time!

We absolutely loved our stay, and would definitely stay again! The cabin was clean, and the location was perfect being in the woods, but still close to all the activities! We had no problems, and would recommend staying to friends!

Lisa’s place was lovely. It was spacious enough for our family but cozy enough to get lots of time together. I enjoyed the covered porches for morning coffee. The kitchen was very functional which was helpful for cooking most of our meals. Lisa was responsive when we had questions. I’d recommend her place!

Would 10/10 recommend!! Such a wonderful home and great accommodations. Easily walkable to the Ober bus stop which was a very short drive to the base where you could catch the gondola into town. We had a large group staying there and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. Games and hot tub was great, super close to everything but still very private. Lisa was very responsive and helpful leading up to the stay. Thank you for letting us stay in your home, will be back!!
