House Rules

BEARS, Oh My! Please beware of the bears. You are in bear country and it is very common for them to roam around the cabin. Please do not leave any food, drinks, wrappers or trash outside the cabin or in your vehicles as this will attract bears. The bears can open unlocked car doors so keep your vehicles locked at all times. Please do not feed the bears or attempt to attract them to the property. If you do see a bear on the property, DO NOT approach it and stay safely in the house with the doors closed where you can safely view them. They will eventually leave. DRIVEWAY The driveway is narrow and while you can use the roundabout to turn your vehicle around, you may have to do a 2 or 3 point turn with larger vehicles to get turned around. There is a wood guard rail to guide you, but you must be careful not to bump or drive past that guard rail as it is a steep drop off the driveway. Some find it easier to enter the roundabout to the left rather than the right so that you're turning into the hill instead of the drop-off. STAIRS There are lots of stairs in and outside this property including a narrow spiral staircase. If you have small children, they must be monitored around these stairs so they do not fall. NO smoking or vaping in the chalet whatsoever. Ashtrays are provided on the outdoor tables. NO pets of any kind. NO excessive guests. NO event parties. NO tampering with security cameras. DO NOT flush anything besides toilet paper down the toilets. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. DAMAGE to property and/or MISSING items will be first deducted from security deposit and if value exceeds that of deposit, claims will be elevated with booking company to be held against form of payment. •Smoking in home: $250 •Lost Owner's Club card: $100 •Late checkout past 10am without our consent: $75 •Damaged hot tub cover: $500 •Stolen towels/bathmats/washcloths: $10 per item. •Damaged/Stolen items or property: Cost to repair/replace MOST IMPORTANT—Relax and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains!

Our group of 10 adults spent the Christmas holiday at Lisa’s home. The size and layout of the home was ideal for our group and we enjoyed our time together in Gatlinburg. Playing billiards, board games, the Pac Man game, utilizing the hot tub, and walking the mountain roads were some of the things we enjoyed most. We cooked the majority of our meals in the kitchen and, although we traveled with some necessary kitchen items to ensure we were fully prepared for the meals, most items could be found in the kitchen. Depending on personal consumption, guests staying with large groups should be prepared to supply extra paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, and dish and hand soaps. The highlight of our trip was a visit from a momma bear and her three cubs. We believe the scent from cooking on the grill that evening piqued their interest and they snooped around on the deck a bit while we watched from inside the home.

Perfectly suited our family of 13; 9 “adults” (13 and up), and 4 kids (2-12). Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. We made a lovely dinner for all of us to enjoy. We only stayed one night but we would love to come back for a longer stay as the location is prime for all of the local things to do! We went to Dollywood the following day and it was super close, about a 30 min. drive. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s cabin! From the start, Lisa was quick to respond and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cabin itself is beautiful, cozy, and well set up for a relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the comfortable spaces to gather as a family and the peaceful mountain setting. One of the highlights of our trip was being visited by two bears right outside the cabin — such a memorable experience! Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend Lisa’s place to anyone looking for a great Smoky Mountain stay.
